WebApr 12, 2024 · The cluster structure of the atomic nucleus has become one of the main topics in nuclear physics. Its applications are seen in the studies on nuclear structure, spectroscopic properties, nuclear reactions, \(\alpha \) or exotic nuclear decay, and astrophysical phenomena. The cluster models are developed with different … WebAug 4, 2024 · The goal of each atomic model was to accurately represent all of the experimental evidence about atoms in the simplest way possible. Following the discovery of the electron, J.J. Thomson developed what became known as the "plum pudding" model in 1904. Plum pudding is an English dessert similar to a blueberry muffin.

WebWe present a critical review of quark-model descriptions of the nuclear force. Our main focus is on the short range part of the interaction. Initially we discuss the quark interchange mechanism with one-gluon-exchange (QE-OGE), which has been the prototype model for describing the nuclear force in terms of quark-gluon degrees of freedom1. WebWith a standard neutron-proton interaction, measured spins and moments of transitional and deformed Ho nuclei are used to extract their main configurations. Total energy calculations in the (/epsilon/,/gamma/)-plane based on the particle-rotor model are presented for /sup 185/Au.
