I had considered putting new tolex on it , however the original tolex is fine it was just badly painted grey. I removed some splatters of white paint on the rear panel. WebDec 13, 2015 · The tolex cover has a repeating 'check' design on a charcoal (or black) ground, The stitching is offset with a lighter gray tolex trimb. The case is in good, usable condition, the latches all work, but it is by no means mint. There is a leaf painted on the lid which I assure you is not a maple leaf - probably done way back too.
